On November 12th 2024 the Local Court of Berlin- Charlottenburg has approved the applications of HH2E AG and HH2E Werk Lubmin GmbH for preliminary self-administration proceedings (vorläufige Eigenverwaltung) and appointed Dr. Gordon Geiser (GT Restructuring) as preliminary Custodian (vorläufiger Sachwalter). The court order marks a significant step forward for HH2E Group’s restructuring strategy, aimed at securing new investment and ensuring long-term growth. HH2E Werk Thierbach GmbH is not subject to insolvency proceedures.

In a significant step forward for establishing green hydrogen production in Germany, HH2E has signed a contract with Gebrüder Karstens Bauunternehmung GmbH for the construction of its flagship green hydrogen plant in Lubmin, Germany. This project is set to become one of the largest green hydrogen production facilities in Europe.

HH2E announces today a Global Strategic Partnership Agreement with Siemens in digitalization and automation. This partnership covers the selection of optimal technologies in process automation, instrumentation and analytics, drive technology, cybersecurity, digitalization, as well as electrification solutions and interface management. Siemens is committed to implementing the Module Type Package (MTP) standard to enhance interoperability and flexibility in process automation systems.

At the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) in Berlin, the results of the economic and technical feasibility study “NetZeroLEJ” were presented to German Federal Ministers Volker Wissing (Digital Affairs and Transport) and Robert Habeck (Vice-Chancellor, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action).

HH2E aims to establish 4 GW of green hydrogen production across various locations in Germany by 2030, heralding a new era in sustainable energy.

The German green hydrogen production company HH2E AG has become a member of the aviation initiative aireg (Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany). HH2E’s unique technology mix is capable of converting surplus electricity from wind and solar energy into green hydrogen, maximizing the use of curtailed power to transforming these otherwise lost green electrons into a powerful force for the production of green hydrogen. This green hydrogen can be used for the production of eSAF (electronic Sustainable Aviation Fuel).

In a move that paves the way to green energy, Siemens Energy and HH2E have begun a project to addressing the future green energy needs of HH2E, focusing specifically on the provision of high-voltage systems, power transformers and beyond, essential for the operation of HH2E’s large-scale green hydrogen production units across Germany. Siemens Energy brings its advanced energy technology to the project.
